Simpson, from Pine, Ariz., aka RAMJET, won the Week 9 tiebreaker to break a two-way tie for first place. Simpson picked Pittsburgh to beat Baltimore 27-24; Pittsburgh beat Baltimore 43-23.

Huckster – one of two overall leaders with 94 total points – and Shauna, both previous Gridiron Green winners this season, showed up on the weekly leaderboard, while the rest of the champions, including the Gridiron Guru, showed up safely in the middle of the pack.

The ol’ Guru went 8-5, including correctly timing the Denver Broncos’ demise in Boston, to run the overall record to 78-55 this season.

On to Week 10, the last of this year’s six-team bye weeks.

Miami at Detroit: These two teams mirror each other – good defenses, improving offenses (Jarvis Landry and Ryan Tannehill getting big in Miami; Reggie Bush and Calvin Johnson getting healthy in Detroit). Pick: Lions, 20-17. Line: Lions by 2½.

Tennessee at Baltimore: Ravens get right against the Titans. Pick: Ravens, 28-20. Line: Ravens by 9½.

Pittsburgh at N.Y. Jets: The Jets’ secondary can’t handle one good receiver, so how are they going to handle Big Ben Roethlisberger’s stable of wideouts. Pick: Steelers, 27-16. Line: Steelers by 4½.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay: Surely, the Falcons can beat the Buccaneers. Pick: Falcons, 23-21. Line: Falcons by 1½.

Dallas vs. Jacksonville, at London (KASA): DeMarco Murray will pick up the slack for a Tony Romo-less, Brandon Weeden-led Cowboys’ offense. Pick: Cowboys, 24-16. Line: off (Romo).

Denver at Oakland (KCNC, KREZ; KRSJ 100.5 FM): Just a blip in Boston, the Broncos get back on track by the bay. Pick: Broncos, 37-20. Line: Broncos by 11½.

N.Y. Giants at Seattle (KASA): The G-Men are a wreck, and now, welcome to Seattle and the 12th Man. Pick: Seahawks, 33-20. Line: Seahawks by 9.

St. Louis at Arizona: It’s hard to figure these Rams; these Cardinals, however, are legitimate. Pick: Cardinals, 24-20. Line: Cardinals by 7.
