The Bobcats’ baseball team was leading Piedra Vista 3-1 in the top of the fifth inning before the Panthers used two hits and the two errors to score four runs and win 5-4.

“The boys played, by far, the best they played this year,” IHS head coach Robert Miller said.

Tucker Ward led IHS with two hits, and Zach Weinrich hit a triple.

Austin McCaw started the game for IHS, and he was relieved by Timmy Plehinger.

“Our pitchers, I thought, were tremendous,” Miller said.

IHS next will play its home opener at 3 p.m. Thursday against Sargent.
