The owner of the home was home at the time of the incident. She called 911 and provided assistance to the driver until Upper Pine Fire Protection paramedics arrived on the scene. Upper Pine personnel had to use extrication equipment to free the driver from the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries to one of her shoulders. She was treated and released.
The estimated damage to the roof of the porch was estimated to be around $2,200.
