To print stories implying that there is widespread racism in policing is just basic yellow journalism. Disproportionate rates of involvement in police shootings for different race groups is certainly multifactorial, and not just due to variance in response by the police based on race.
Those who place their lives at risk to protect and serve for modest compensation deserve the occasional “thank you,” and not this increasing barrage of one-sided blame for racial tensions.
