Braxton Newkirk is a BHS honor student, musician and woodworking whiz and recipient of the 2016 Bayfield Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. With him at the chamber's May 12 meeting was chamber secretary Meghan Lloyd of Community Banks of Colorado and Erin Youngblood, manager of Evenings Porch, the host for the May meeting. Braxton plans to study petroleum engineering at the University of Wyoming.
