Gil is a paraplegic dog from Arizona who was shot at point-blank on the San Carlos Reservation. The young pup’s underside had been ravaged from crawling across the ground, and he suffered gastrointestinal issues. His outlook looked grim, and the family who found him surrendered Gil to a local veterinarian. Gil was likely to face euthanasia, but was eventually saved and adopted by Alvarez who lives in Red Mesa, south La Plata County.
