Durango artist Jenn Rawling works on her mural, “Love Letters,” on Thursday on the side of a building in the 1000 block of Main Avenue. Rawling was commissioned by Michael Ryan, the building’s owner, to paint something positive, expressing love. Grants from Durango Creative District and Durango Creates have contributed to the cost. Rawling started the mural May 16 and has had help from artists Jon Bailey, Miki Harder, Alicia Pastore, Erin Mahoney and Thomas Bailey. Rawling wants to finish the project in the next two weeks.
