Ben Sanderson, left, and Kenny Davis pull items and brush away from a fence for a loader to pick up Thursday in an alley in east Durango. During Spring Cleanup, city crews will pick up furniture, large appliances, scrap metal, drywall, fencing, carpeting, tiles, dried paint cans, tree trimmings, branches less than 8 feet in length and less than 8 inches in diameter, bagged or boxed loose brush and leaves. Yard waste and scrap metal should be left in separate piles. For more information, visit co-durango.civicplus.com/346/Spring-and-Fall-Cleanup. (Jerry McBride/Durango Herald)
