A pedestrian got caught in hail and heavy rain showers Tuesday on East Third Avenue as storms rolled through the area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue in the region through Wednesday, and the National Weather Service says there’s even a chance of snow showers at higher elevations. Overnight lows are expected to be in the mid to upper 30s in the Durango area, with a forecast high on Wednesday of 56 degrees. The sunshine should return on Thursday, along with somewhat warmer temperatures.
