Ducks casually swim around a giant-sized shark on a pond east of Durango on Wednesday. The foam-filled shark sits in the pond on Travis Craig’s place east of Elmore’s Corner on U.S. Highway 160. Craig has been at his place for about six years, and the shark was on the pond when he moved in. “It’s funny; the domestic ducks are afraid of it, and the wild ducks will sit on it,” said Craig. The shark has become a landmark, Craig said.
