Chuck Owens, a volunteer with the Durango Community Tennis Association, uses a water broom Friday to clean the tennis courts at Fort Lewis College near the Smith Sports Complex. From 10 a.m. to noon every Monday through October, depending on the weather, the four courts are reserved for drop-in mixed doubles of all abilities.
