Members of the First United Methodist Church of Longview, Texas, from left, Jenna Crum, 17, Jordan Crum, 17, Olaedo Ibeawuchi, 14, and Christy Triece fill two of the new 48 raised beds on Thursday at the Manna soup kitchen garden. The 20-member church group has been in Durango for the past week doing acts of kindness around the community such as going to three different laundromats paying for peoples laundry and giving them soap. Also going to Wolfwood Refuge, Methodist Thrift Store, Community Compassion Outreach, and cleaning trash at a campsite that had become a dumping ground. (Jerry McBride/Durango Herald)
