The third annual Critter Curiosity at Chris Park snowshoe tour will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, Feb. 6.

Participants will follow tracks, look for burrows, and maybe even find evidence of elk. Participants should be dressed for the weather and bring water and a snack. Meet at the parking area near Rapp Corral; don’t block the gate. Kids’ and small adult snowshoes are available for free upon request. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Younger kids carried in packs are allowed.

Workshop about squirrels to be held

Sylvester Allres will hold a Nature Studies’ snowshoe workshop about tassel-eared squirrels and winter habitat at Haviland Lake Road at Rapp Corral from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.

There is no cost for members; the cost for non-members is $10. Participants should bring their own snowshoes or rent them for $3.
