As the Boulder County district attorney, Michael Dougherty has brought sensible and reasonable justice reforms to Boulder County by developing problem-solving courts, diversion programs, the state’s first Domestic Violence Acute Response Team and the DA Vehicular Response Team. These programs are so successful they have been replicated across Colorado.

Dougherty has nearly 30 years of experience as a prosecutor. Equally relevant, he has extensive experience working in the community building consensus on local problems. I have seen this in his work with Panther Z Zonta club students and the Beth Haynes Award.

Dougherty is the fighter we need in Colorado. He can step into the job on Day 1, as he knows the attorney general’s office intimately, having previously served there as assistant deputy AG for many years before becoming DA. His stellar management experience gained throughout his entire career is a critical skill needed in the vast AG office. No other candidate has such competent and applicable management skills. There will be no learning curve.

Consistently, he has proven to be the fighter we need to protect Colorado and Coloradans. Dougherty has the experience, tenacity and integrity to protect Colorado from this administration, so he has my support and my vote for attorney general.
