Its highly doubtful that there will be a revelation that points the finger at Barack Obama blaming him for these scandals. Lets be honest, hes a student of Chicago-style politics.
As events unfold, its becoming more and more evident that this administration is not only incompetent, but corrupt as well. Cabinet-level private email accounts that violate FOIA, soliciting funds from private companies to promote Obamacare, spying on reporters and using the IRS to harass private citizens who made campaign contributions to Obamas rivals. If you want to see the current IRS hearings, you have to tune in to Fox news. Theyre not on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS or even C-SPAN.
Because of the selective news coverage (including in The Durango Herald) of national media outlets, one quickly appreciates that the uninformed, or low-information voters have become the holy grail for progressive office holders. Its time to abolish the IRS and go to a flat or value added tax that will be politically neutral.
My only concern if we go that route is that there will be hundreds of lobbying firms adding thousands of employees to the unemployment rolls. Finally, a memo to the Herald editorial board supporting the GM bailout: Taxpayers only lost $10 billion on the deal or enough to fund White House tours well into the next century.
