Susan Happ, of Steamworks Brewing Co., serves a happy customer a microbrew at the Taste of Durango. About 12,000 people hit Main Avenue to enjoy culinary samplings, craft beers and cocktails on Sunday. Event co-organizer Mandi Davis says in no other scenario in town will a restaurateur serve thousands of patrons in such a short time. “It’s great training for your employees,” she said. “And it’s for the right reasons.” Proceeds from the event will go to Manna Soup Kitchen.
