Joy Thibeaux was one of more than a dozen women who stopped Wednesday evening at the Rochester Hotel to decorate hats in preparation for the Rochester’s upcoming Kentucky Derby Party. Owner Kirk Komick said proceeds from the party, which will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, will go to a new hospice funded by Mercy Health Foundation. Tickets are $75, and the donation is tax deductible. Oysters, mint juleps and other refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 385-1920.
