A multi class reunion of Bayfield High School graduates will be held on Aug. 14 and 15 at the Cundiff homestead on County Road 502. Alumni who graduated 25 or more years ago are invited.

Activities start at noon to whenever on Aug. 14. Bring a side dish. Aug. 15 will have a potluck gathering from noon to 4 p.m.

County hosting open house at new admin building

La Plata County is hosting an open house to welcome the public to the new county administration building from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at 1101 E. Second Ave. in Durango.

The public is welcome to attend to visit the following offices:

. board of county commissioners office and meeting rooms

. assessor’s office

. administration, finance and procurement departments.

Also at this open house, there will be the opportunity to give feedback on the La Plata County website redesign.

Athletic physicals available at IHS

Athletic physicals for the 2015-2016 season will be available from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 31 at Ignacio Middle School for $30. Area middle school and high school students are welcome.

Preschool has space for 4-year-olds

Proposal to raise Bayfield sales tax to be discussed

The Town of Bayfield will conduct two public presentations to provide citizens the opportunity to learn more about the town’s proposed street maintenance and preservation program and associated request for a dedicated funding stream through a proposed sales tax increase.

Presentations will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 14th and 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 at town hall. A copy of the presentation and informational brochure are also available on the town’s website, www.bayfieldgov.org. Light snacks will be provided. For more information, call 884-9544.
