The Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College is bringing back its Concert Hall at the Park music series this summer with shows every Thursday night at Buckley Park from the end of June to the beginning of August.

The concert series officially launched in 2012 and has brought “an eclectic mix of regional and nationally touring artists” to downtown Durango in the summers since, according to a news release from the Concert Hall.

“Concert Hall at the Park is about creating space for community,” said Charles Leslie, Concert Hall director, in the release. “It’s an opportunity to experience great live music in a relaxed, welcoming environment – whether you’re a longtime concertgoer or just discovering something new.”

This year’s lineup is:

June 25: Sweet Lizzy Project. Cuban-born, Nashville-based band blending modern edge with a classic rock heart.July 2: The Spicy Pickles. High-energy modern swing band guaranteed to get audiences on their feet.July 9: Frontera Bugalú. Cumbia-infused sound reflecting the stories and rhythms of Latino cultures across the U.S. and Latin America.July 16: Fantastic Cat. Four musicians, four songwriters, and a freewheeling, must-see live show full of spontaneity and spiritJuly 23: Jon Stickley Trio. Genre-defying instrumental trio known for cinematic soundscapes, innovative flatpicking and groove-driven compositionsJuly 30: Jessee Lee. Texas-based, Nashville recording artist bringing a vintage country-soul sound shaped by a sharp pen and soulful voiceAug. 6: Mojo Birds. Groove-driven Americana with influences ranging from The Band to Al Green, layered with Afro-Peruvian rhythms

As always, audiences members are invited to bring chairs and blankets and picnics.

Concert Hall at the Park also serves as a way for FLC students to gain practical experience by helping with production, sound and event logistics throughout the season, the release said.

The series also receives support from its community partners, including: FLC, Alpine Bank, city of Durango, Colorado Creative Industries, Creative West, Buell Foundation, KDUR, Four Corners Broadcasting, Hutton Broadcasting and Arts Perspective Magazine.
