This view offers some comfort, as we now experience the effects of extreme obstinance, blatant uncooperativeness, unwillingness to responsibly legislate and sheer meanness exhibited by House Republicans.

These demagogues will eventually lose because they don’t represent the vast majority of Americans who want to return to reasoned respectful debate, they lack understanding of how our legislative branch works and the realization that we’re all in this together.

Tonight, hug your children, and tell them we need to be proud and thankful that we elected a president who has a good mind, a good heart and the courage to fight against those who seek to turn us against each other. I feel better already.
