Damen Kevin McCaddon managed to get this photo Monday morning along the Animas River in north Durango. McCaddon, who has lived in Durango for 41 years, reports this is the largest bear he has ever seen in the area. He has worked as a carpenter in the car shop at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for 30 years.
