Smith is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He received his master’s and medical degrees from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Doctors Hospital, Ohio University, in Columbus, Ohio, and completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbus.

Buck specializes in general hematology and medical oncology and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, American College of Osteopathic Internists and American Osteopathic Association. Buck completed his undergraduate degree in cellular and developmental biology at California State University in Fullerton, California. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University-Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine.
