In particular, I worked with Barbara the past couple of years, and she was one of the most kindhearted teachers to work with. At Durango High School’s 2014 graduation ceremony, she was chosen, in addition to a fellow teacher, by the student body to give the students’ choice speech, which shows how esteemed she is.
I am proud that in Mike McLachlan, we have the only member in the Colorado House of Representatives who served in the Vietnam War. Along with all of our war veterans, Mike risked his life for our lives, and I thank them at every opportunity.
I am also proud that Mike went before the Supreme Court and won! Mike’s incredible leadership shown throughout his life has carried him to be a great representative, fighting for the Western Slope. He is an expert on water and fought for funding for Fort Lewis College and Western State. Mike also helped obtain state funding for projects that will create jobs in the 59th District by supporting renewable-energy production through geothermal.
I am supporting Mike this election cycle, and I invite and encourage you to join me in supporting him this November. Mike McLachlan will continue to fight for us here in the district.
