As a mother and an environmentalist, it is clear to me that there is a strong connection between issues important to families and the protection of our environment and natural resources. State Rep. Mike McLachlan and U.S. Sen. Mark Udall have fought to protect the environment upon which we all depend for our livelihoods, health and quality of life.
The tea party-backed Brown and Gardner want to undo our environmental protections and give away our precious resources to the highest bidder. Brown and Gardner will leave a terrible legacy for our children and future generations. Women know how to raise a family, nurture children and communities as well as protect what is most important to us. And we don’t let empty rhetoric about freedom distract us from doing what is right for our families and communities.
Women throughout the Southwest should consider the future that their children will inherit with Brown and Gardner in office, and instead vote to re-elect Mike McLachlan and Mark Udall. Please don’t miss the opportunity to ensure a better, cleaner world for the next generation.
