Called the “Second Chance Scholarship,” the accepted applicant will be a woman who has had her college education interrupted or postponed, and wants to continue education at a college, trade school or secondary education institution. Homemakers are encouraged to apply.
Requirements include: three names of reference, a biographical statement of work history, community involvement and future goals and a statement explaining why the applicant should receive the scholarship. The funds awarded to the accepted applicant must be used during the year it is received.
Applications are available at the La Plata County Extension Office, 2500 Main Ave., or from Elsa Mae Reynolds, CMFHG chairman, 353-1665, and must be submitted to Colorado Master Farm Homemaker Guild by May 15.
