Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means for residents to dispose of prescription drugs while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
The marshal’s office cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. This service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
“If adults can be responsible with emptying their cupboards and medicine cabinets of unused prescription drugs, the safer it will ultimately be for their families,” the office said in a press release.
