Waylon Robitaille pleaded guilty in April to second-degree murder and was sentenced Monday for the April 28, 2018, death of 52-year-old David Robitaille.

Adams County sheriff’s deputies called to the home found the elder Robitaille with a gunshot wound to the head. Waylon Robitaille told investigators he and his father had argued and were struggling over the gun when it accidentally fired, but prosecutor Sara Carty said evidence shows the shooting was deliberate.

She said Waylon Robitaille was several feet away when he shot his father between the eyes.
