Why would such a despicable man, as Smith has portrayed Schirard to be, provide an opportunity for Smith and his wife to make a living? Why do Smith and his wife continue to work for such a despicable man? With Smith’s claimed wealth of experience, shouldn’t he be able to find employment with someone less despicable?

Well, the truth is, Smith applied for a few managerial law-enforcement positions before returning to the Sheriff’s Office, and he was turned down because of lack of experience. (This came from Smith’s own words.)

Sean Smith has stated in forums that the most significant difference between him and Schirard is integrity. I personally believe this to be true! Nobody with integrity knowingly spreads career-ending lies about a man and his family!
