I received a summons for turning left into traffic. The lights turned red on my side, but the oncoming lights had not changed yet. While I was trying to get through the intersection before cross traffic began to enter the intersection, oncoming traffic was still bearing down.

I have heard from dozens of people of the dangers and numerous accidents. While riding in the ambulance to the hospital, another wreck occurred at the next intersection.
