Durango Discovery Museum, 1333 Camino del Rio, announces these events:
The Four Corners Regional Lego League Tournament will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Animas Valley Elementary School, 373 Hermosa Road. Teams will test their autonomous robots that they have built and programed to solve a set of missions. For students ages 9-14, Lego League utilizes theme-based challenges to engage kids in research, problem solving, and en gineering.
Free Trivia will take place at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
The Sudden Science program will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays through November. It provides after-school science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programming for grades third to sixth.

Purgatory to host job, volunteer fairs
Purgatory will host its annual job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Participants should come ready to interview with representatives from food and beverage, mountain operations, ski and ride school and more.
People can earn a Purgatory Season Pass in exchange for volunteering 10 days this winter. People interested in finding out more about volunteer opportunities should attend Durango Mountain Resort’s volunteer hiring fair from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. Representatives from guest services, mountain safety, food and beverage, mountain operations and more will be available.
