“Internet and Social Media” will take place Tuesday. Participants will learn how to navigate the Internet, emails and social media.

“iPad 2” will take place Thursday. The class will review iPad system 6 and 7 and learn apps. Participants must have an iPad.

Senior center to host arts, crafts bazaar

The 2013 Arts and Crafts Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Durango/La Plata County Senior Center, 2424 Main Ave.

The bazaar will feature a selection of hand-crafted items, baked goods, and chili or Frito pie. A door prize drawing will take place every 30 minutes.

Planning Commission seeking volunteers

The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners is seeking interested people to serve on the Planning Commission.

This position is advisory and is not monetarily compensated. However, reasonable mileage expenses will be reimbursed and a meal provided. Solarize La Plata to host open house

The public is invited to a Solarize La Plata open house from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Paulson/Baher Residence, 7852 County Road 203, to view an operating solar voltaic system and to learn how to participate in Solarize La Plata.

This citizen-driven program is a limited-time offer to install residential solar systems with energy education, attractive financing packages and professional help through the entire process. Solarize La Plata also will be featured at the Regional Housing Alliance Homebuyer’s Class on Saturday at Fort Lewis College.

“Doing your own divorce and/or custody in Colorado” will be the topic of a free seminar at 6 p.m. Monday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
