Fish fry to take place Friday at St. Columba
The Knights of Columbus Council No. 1408 will host a fish fry from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Columba Gym, 1801 East Third Ave.
The event will feature North Atlantic cod, hush puppies, baked beans and slaw. Tickets are $8 for people older than 10, $4 for children 5 to 10 and are available at the door. The event is free for children younger than 5 accompanied by a paying adult. Proceeds will benefit Knights of Columbus fraternal and charity programs.

The Durango Lions Club will meet at noon Wednesday at DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

Solar-garden basics topic of free session
The Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) will host a free educational session for interested community members from 1 to 2 p.m. April 15 in Program Room 1 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The session will be called “Community Solar Garden Basics.” This is an introductory session and is intended for the general public.

Mortgage program to get annual review
The annual update to the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners on the Single Family Lending Guidelines and Investment Criteria Homes Fund as part of the Durango Mountain Resort and Regional Housing Alliance of La Plata County Second Mortgage Assistance Program originally scheduled for April 1 will take place April 15.
The program utilizes fee-in-lieu funds generated by the DMR Workforce Housing requirements of the Durango Mountain Resort Development Agreement. The respective DMR and RHA boards of directors have recently reviewed and adopted the updated lending guidelines.

Suicide survivors support group to meet
Heartbeat Durango, a suicide-survivors support group for people who have lost loved ones to suicide, meets from 6 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Durango Fire & Rescue District, Station 1, 142 Sheppard Drive.
