The High Noon Rotary Club will meet from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

Wolfwood Refuge to visit Navajo State Park

The Wolfwood Refuge summer tour will begin from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 14 with a visit to Navajo State Park Visitor Center, 1526 County Road 982, in Arboles.

Ambassador animals will be there and a talk will be held at 1 p.m.

5K, fun run to benefit Humane Society

Durango Mountain Resort will host the second annual Mutt ’n Strut Family 5K and Fun Run on June 14.

The event will benefit the La Plata County Humane Society.

The 5K and Fun Run will start at 10 a.m.; a certified dog training demonstration will take place at 11 a.m.; and several pet contests with prizes will be held, including best costume and best trick.

La Plata County Humane Society will offer information about their services and encourage people to adopt. Several adoptable dogs will be in the booth.

Participants will receive a doggie bandana with the $15 registration fee for the 5K/Fun Run.

AIDS benefit seeking sponsors

Four Corners Gay and Lesbian Alliance for Diversity (4cGLAD) announces the 2014 Durango AIDS Benefit and is seeking sponsors for the benefit, which will take place the third week of September.

A public display of a panel from the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt will be held from Sept. 16 to 20 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. A Family Fun Run/Walk will take place Sept. 20 at Rotary Park.

Motor expo to take place on Main Avenue

The Durango Old Car Club will present the 2014 Durango Motor Expo from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 14 on Main Avenue.

Cars and motorcycles will be on display for the general public with free admission. Proceeds from a silent auction and voting for a favorite car will benefit the Hospice of Mercy Experience.

A pre-registration event for exhibitors will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Durango Transit Center, 250 W. 8th St.

Beekeepers association to meet on June 16

The 4 Corners Beekeepers Association will meet at 6 p.m. June 16 at Florida Baptist Church on U.S. Highway 160 near Elmore’s Corner.
