Because of unpredictable weather conditions, exact spraying locations and times are not set for spraying. The herbicides that will be used are vessel broadleaf herbicide.

Merchants to raise money for resident
Animas Trading Co., Dancing Willow Herbs and Surya Health and Wellness will donate 10 percent of all sales today to Michele Lawrence, owner of Yoga Durango.
Lawrence is hospitalized for the duration of her pregnancy with twins because of complications. Her hospitalization could be as long as three months. The donation will go to Lawrence’s family to help with medical expenses.

Relay for Life to be held at FLC
Relay for Life will take place from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday at the Fort Lewis College football field.
This event is open to the public and free to attend. The event includes games, activities, food and ceremonies.
Marvel Grange to host picnic
The Marvel Grange will host a community picnic at 6 p.m. Saturday at 8097 County Road 100, Hesperus.
The grange will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and fixings along with beverages. Participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert and table service. During the picnic, Fort Lewis Mesa Fire Protection District will be thanked for its service.

Daybreak Rotary Club to meet Wednesday
Durango resident Clyde Church, who officially assumes the position of district governor for Rotary District 5470 in Southern Colorado in July, will speak to the Daybreak Rotary Club at 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
A long-time Rotarian and resident of Durango, Church will discuss strengthening the community service of Rotarians. The public is invited.

Old Fort Farm stand to be open at FLC
The Old Fort Farm Stand will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Fort Lewis College Student Union.
The stand will offer salad mix, kale, arugula, beet greens, radishes, green onions, garlic scapes, beets, carrots, pickled radishes, garlic scape pesto, kale chips, grass-fed beef and locally produced pork products.
Parking is free on campus during the summer and the stand accepts Skycash, cash or checks.
Groups to discuss city ordinances
The Boulevard Neighborhood Association Inc. and Citizens for Healthy Established Neighborhoods will have a joint meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of 12th Street and East Third Avenue.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss city of Durango ordinances, recent actions and land-use decisions that potentially impact the stability of established neighborhoods. Members of both organizations will discuss a future course of action. Residents of established neighborhoods seeking information about the goals and objectives of either organization are invited to attend this roundtable discussion. The meeting is open to the public. People should use the 12th Street entrance to the Westminster Room.
