Durango Nature Studies’ Full Moon Hike under the Buck Moon will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Falls Creek.
The hike is free for members and $10 for nonmembers. People will learn natural history, nocturnal animals, local landforms, and moon facts and legends.

Nursery to offer free event, workshop
Durango Nursery and Supply, 271 Kaycee Lane, will host the Third Thursday Ladies Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Stop by for discounts on all yellow flowering plants and other items, enjoy yellow beverages and refreshments, and wear yellow. The event is free.
The nursery also will offer a free workshop called “Planting for Pollinators” at 10 a.m. July 19. Participants will walk around the plants, talking about which ones attract hummingbirds, bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.

Unitarian Universalists to host retreat
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango will have its Sunday Service at the Four Corners Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Retreat at Pine Song, led by the Rev. Meg Riley at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The topic will be “Born Again Unitarian Universalist.” There will be no service in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango sanctuary Sunday.
DHS Class of 1974 seeking reunion RSVPs
The Durango High School Class of 1974 Reunion will take place from Sept. 12 to 14.
A meet-and-greet will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Derailed Pour House, 725 Main Ave. A luncheon will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lost Dog Bar & Lounge, 1150 Main Ave. From there, the group will walk to the Old High School building for a group photo from 4 to 4:30 p.m. The registration is $35 per person. Make checks payable to DHS – Jann Golder-Craig and then mail to Elizabeth Hiner at 1224 County Road 307, Durango, CO 81303. RSVP and registration fees are due by Tuesday.

Rotary Club of Durango to meet Tuesday
Missy Votel, editor of the Durango Telegraph, will speak to the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
In her “talking turkey,” she will speak about the history, philosophy and role within the community and more about the weekly newspaper. Visitors are welcome.
