Road work continues on Lizard Head Pass
Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews are making progress to repair the roadway depression on the northbound lane of Colorado Highway 145 on the south side of Lizard Head Pass (mile point 58.75).
The repair zone is about 200 feet long and crews removed the asphalt down to the dirt surface to install some drain pipes, rock material, road base and new asphalt. The work is expected to be completed by the middle of next week, weather permitting. Drivers will encounter single-lane, alternating traffic the entire day while work is underway, as well as a 10-foot width restriction until the barriers are removed next week.
