A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will be offered from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 8 at Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., in Ignacio.

Volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms and explain the process for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues and civil protection orders.

Free legal clinics will be offered on the second Friday of each month through December.

Old Fort Farm Stand to be open today

The Old Fort Farm Stand will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. today outside the Fort Lewis College Student Union.

Products for sale include: snow peas, fresh garlic bulbs, lettuce mix, arugula, kale, chard, radishes, carrots, beets, garlic scapes, green onions, cilantro, basil, broccoli, romaine heads, onions, sesame pickled radishes, garlic pickled radishes, kale chips, garlic scape pesto, arugula pesto, basil pesto, roasted poblano peppers, pickled garlic scapes, garlic scape powder, grass fed beef and local pork products.

Checks, cash and Skycash are accepted. Parking is free

State parks offering free admission Monday

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will join the celebration of Colorado’s acceptance into statehood with free access to all Colorado state parks Monday.

Colorado was first recognized as a state Aug. 1, 1876. The first Colorado state park emerged 80 years later.

Park entrance fees are waived, but activities like fishing and camping will still require a valid license and permit.
