The Fort Lewis College International Programs Office now accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for or renew their passports by appointment from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday at the International Programs Office, 106 Jones Hall on the FLC campus.

Free divorce, custody seminar available
A “Doing your own divorce and/or custody in Colorado” seminar will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The seminar will be presented by a volunteer attorney from Southwest Bar Volunteer Legal Aid.

FLC to host Real History program
The seventh annual “Real History of the Americas” program will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday at the Student Union Ballroom at Fort Lewis College.
An evening show will feature guest performers at 6 p.m. The public is welcome. The Real History of the Americas looks at the history of North and South America from the viewpoints of Hispanic, African-American, Asian and Native American peoples, among others.
On display will be poetry, film, dance and live music. Guest performers will include Sister Outsider Poetry and “SupaMan.”

University women to host fall luncheon
The American Association of University Women, Durango Branch, will hold its annual fall luncheon for members and guests at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 25 at The Palace Restaurant, 505 Main Ave.
This is a FLC scholarship fundraiser. Guest speaker will be Laurie Williams, associate professor of physics and engineering at FLC and co-director of Engineers Without Borders, speaking on Women and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). She will be joined by two FLC STEM students, Sara Holden and Danielle Lucero, speaking about their experience as young women leaders.

Commissioners plan public meeting
The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will continue a series of “On the Road” meetings at 7 p.m. Monday at the Marvel Grange, 217 County Road 133A in Marvel.
The public is invited to join them in a conversation about issues of interest or concern regarding La Plata County and their neighborhoods.
