Colorado Parks and Wildlife will give away kokanee salmon at 3 p.m. Nov. 6, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 at the parking area on Smelter Place, off County Road 210, which is north of the Office Depot shopping center.
Anyone wanting fish must present a valid 2014 Colorado fishing license. Kokanee are currently being spawned at Lake Nighthorse. People interested in receiving fish should bring a small cooler. Most of the kokanee are from 10 to 13 inches in size. Kokanee are a freshwater, land-locked sockeye salmon.
