An Aria Crane Benefit Concert & Silent Auction will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Bayfield High School Preforming Arts Center.
Aria Crane is a seventh-grader at Bayfield Middle School who is battling cancer. She is currently in Denver at Children’s Hospital. All proceeds will go toward medical and travel costs for Aria and her family.
The Bar D Wranglers will perform.

Accessory dwelling units discussed
The city of Durango will host a public information meeting at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in council chambers of Durango City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.
The meeting will discuss accessory dwelling units and second units in the East Animas City neighborhood designated as EN-3 zone. This meeting will be the first in a series of meetings to discuss and take feedback on ADUs in this neighborhood. The meeting is to allow residents the opportunity to provide input on whether accessory dwelling units should be allowed in the EN-3 zone district and how to handle existing second units that have already been constructed within the neighborhood.

E-reader, e-book workshop to be held
The Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., will host an e-reader and e-book workshop at 1 p.m. Nov. 17.
This free class will overview different e-readers and e-books and how to check out library books from home. People are invited to bring their own devices.

Wampler’s Ascent to be screened Nov. 19
Basecamp will host a film event from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The film, “Wampler’s Ascent,” is about a man with cerebral palsy climbing El Capitan in Yosemite. The purpose of the event is to bring together the outdoors community and the disability community and to raise disability awareness in Durango. Basecamp kids will earn two hours of community service by attending and helping at the event.
Breast-feeding workshop to be held
A breast-feeding workshop will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19 at Kids Rock, 563 Main Ave.
Joy Frazer will offer a presentation on how to get off to the right start. This is a breast-feeding workshop designed for pregnant women and their partners.
Four Corners Film Office to meet
The Four Corners Film Office will host an update and networking meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester Hotel, 726 East Second Ave. Anyone interested in the local film and media industry is encouraged to attend. The film office update will take place at 5:45 p.m. Board members will be on hand to touch upon recent production projects in the region and future plans for the office. The meeting will provide an opportunity for members of the film community to learn about recent activities of the office, receive updated information from the Colorado Office of Film, Television & Media and discuss current productions.
