The Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 upstairs at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
At the meeting, Dr. David Sisul, the new urologist at Mercy Regional Medical Center, will address the group. Sisul earned his medical degree from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of California, San Diego. With Mercy now having a Da Vinci Robotic Surgical device, Sisul will review prostate surgery, advantages and disadvantages of both open and robotic procedures. The public is welcome.

Bayfield library to host Craft-aganza
The Pine River Library will host an open-house style “Craft-aganza,” with simple, fun projects for all ages and abilities, from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 in the library’s Community Room, 395 Bayfield Center Drive.
The library will provide the supplies for participants to make cards, gift card holders, gift tags and a treat. Advance sign-up is helpful.

Independence center to host potluck
Southwest Center for Independence, a local nonprofit that helps people with disabilities live well in the community, will host a Thankful Potluck from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at 3473 Main Ave., No. 23.
The center will provide the cups, plates, napkins and utensils.
