The town of Bayfield, La Plata County and the Colorado Department of Transportation will host an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bayfield Town Hall, 1199 Bayfield Parkway, to present the proposed U.S. Highway 160 Access Plan and seek additional public comment.

There will be a formal presentation at 6 p.m. The most current version of the plan is on the town of Bayfield at www.bayfieldgov.org. People who are not able to attend can fill out a comment sheet and drop it off at Town Hall. Comment sheets are on the website and will be accepted until Dec. 30.

Kinship Support Group to meet

The new Kinship Support Group will meet from 12:45 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Family Center of Durango, 129 E. 32nd St.

This free group is for grandparents or other relatives or guardians who are raising children, and it is led by a local play therapist.

The Investment Advisory Committee of the Board of Trustees for Fort Lewis College will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday in the President’s Conference Room in Berndt Hall No. 2503 at FLC.

The committee will review and discuss the draft Investment Policy.

Methodist church to host musical program

The Methodist Women will present the “Holiday Potpourri” musical program at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive.

A variety of talented local musicians will perform Christmas music. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served following the performance.
