The Pine River Library is sponsoring monthly “Pine River Creates” days at the Pine River Senior Center.
Led by card-maker and crafter Brenda Marshall, the monthly event is free and open to all ages. “Pine River Creates” days are at 10 a.m. the third Tuesday of every month at the Pine River Senior Center, 111 West South St. in Bayfield. This month’s “Pine River Creates” Day will be held Jan. 20.

Free radon class available in Bayfield
The Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, will hold a free class on radon at 6 p.m. Jan. 13 and 1 p.m. Jan. 14.
All participants will receive a free radon testing kit. Advance registration is required, as the number of kits are limited.

Bayfield library offers book club
The Pine River Library’s BookMarks Book Club is open to all adults in the Pine River Valley.
The library provides the books, the discussion leader and a place to meet each month. Interested readers are invited to take part in the annual BookMarks Book Club Tea at 6 p.m. Jan. 14 at the library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive. Participants will help choose titles for the 2015 BookMarks program. Area book clubs also are invited to be a part of the Book Club Tea, as BookMarks Book Club Kits are available for free at the library. After the books are used by the library, the kits are available for monthlong checkouts.

A new knitting club to meet in Mancos
Kathy Graf will lead a new knitting club from 6 to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Mancos Public Library, 211 East First St.
Upcoming sessions are scheduled for Jan. 13, Jan. 27, Feb. 10, Feb. 24, March 10, and March 24. Teens and adults are welcome. This is a free program. Limited supplies of knitting needles and yarn will be available.
