The Durango Botanical Society will offer the program “Creating an Illustrated Journal” from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25.
An illuminated journal is one that is handwritten and illustrated in the manner of a manuscript from the Middle Ages. Participants will learn how to create the grid system and develop the interplay between lettering and visual design. In this six-week course, people will complete their project and take away the skills needed to complete more.
