The city of Durango will host a neighborhood meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Carnegie Building, 1188 East Second Ave.
Discussion will surround the feasibility and benefit of a residential parking permit program for East Third and East Fourth avenues from Fourth Street to 14th Street.
Durango City Council received a request from the Boulevard Association for a City Council study session to examine residential parking along the two avenues.
The purpose of the neighborhood meeting is to gather the residents’ input, comments, concerns and issues related to the idea of a residential parking program.
City staff will provide an overview of what a residential parking program could look like for the neighborhood; however, the primary focus is to ensure all neighbors have an opportunity to voice their concerns and comments.
Separately, the Durango City Council Study Session on the neighborhood meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Smith Council Chambers at City Hall, 949 East Second Avenue.
