The Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., in Ignacio, will offer these events as part of its Summer Reading Program:
The kickoff party for the Summer Reading Program will be held at 10 a.m. June 3. The event will feature hip-hop artist Mr. Kneel. Lunch will be served after the performance.
“Heroes in the Community: Firefighters” will take place at 10 a.m. June 10.
The Playground Theater performance of “The Green Scene” will be held at 10 a.m. June 17.
“Heroes in the Community: Policemen” will take place at 10 a.m. June 24.

You can participate in Bayfield Yard Sale
The Bayfield Chamber of Commerce announced the Bayfield Yard Sale Day will take place June 6.
To be on the map of garage sales, visit the Billy Goat Saloon, Salon del Sol or Bayfield Chiropractic.
The cost is $5 before Thursday and $10 between Thursday and June 3.
Sale spots in the Pine River Valley Bank parking lot in Bayfield are available for $10 each by visiting the bank’s Bayfield location.
The map will be in the June 5 edition of The Pine River Times.

Ignacio library courts industrious minds
Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., in Ignacio, will offer these events:
“OpenMake” will prepare projects for the June 27 MakerFaire from 1 to 3 p.m. June 6 and from 3 to 5 p.m. June 8.
“Basic Soldering” will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. June 13 and from 3 to 5 p.m. June 15.
“RocketMake,” designing model rockets for launching during the MakerFaire on June 27, will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. June 20 and from 3 to 5 p.m. June 22.
The MakerFaire will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 27.
“Basic 3-D Printing” will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. June 29.

Allison to mark Memorial Day
A Memorial Day service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Allison-Tiffany Cemetery, 1315 County Road 329.
