A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on the second Friday of each month at the Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., Ignacio.
By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues and civil protection orders.

Author to present slideshow in Mancos
Shelley Walchak will host a slideshow presentation titled “52 Rivers” at 7 p.m. June 12 at Mancos Public Library, 211 West First St.
This is the third program in the library’s series “Life Is An Adventure.” Bayfield author, angler and librarian, Walchak will show a slideshow of the rivers that she journeyed to during a year-long adventure. Her stories also are compiled in her book 52 Rivers. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
In honor of National River Month, representatives from Dolores River Boating Advocates and Trout Unlimited also will share information about their organizations, and “River” photography from Kate Thompson and Andy Hutchinson will be featured on the library’s “Art Wall” for June.

DUI enforcement to increase over holiday
The Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and law enforcement agencies across the state will increase DUI enforcement over the Memorial Day holiday through Tuesday.
The launch of the Memorial Day enforcement coincides with the start of Checkpoint Colorado, a 100-plus day summer enforcement period. Checkpoint Colorado runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, with participating law enforcement agencies conducting three DUI checkpoints during the period.

Bhotia Foundation to show ‘Good Karma’
The Karma and Jyamu Bhotia Foundation will host the premier of “Good Karma” from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave.
This documentary film by Sean Owen chronicles the story of Karma Bhotia’s 2014 return to his home village of Chyamtang, accompanied by a dozen Durangoans on a trek to help a small village in Nepal.
There will be a silent auction, and donations will be accepted.
Karma also will speak about the service projects underway in Nepal, including the school recently constructed in Chyamtang by the Bhotia Foundation. The event will benefit the charitable projects of the Karma & Jyamu Bhotia Foundation. The mission of the Bhotia Foundation is to develop education, promote health awareness and improve living conditions in the remote villages of the Bhotkhola region of northeast Nepal. Donations also will be accepted to provide assistance to the victims of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

Beekeeping seminar June 6 at Fort Lewis
The Four Corners Beekeepers Association and the Fort Lewis College Bee Club will host a beekeeping seminar with Dr. Dewey Caron from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. June 6 at the Lyceum at Fort Lewis College.
Both beginning and intermediate topics will be discussed, and there will be hands-on demonstrations. The cost is $20 for the seminar, and $10 for lunch.
