The Pagosa Ranger District reports that the Mosca Road (Forest Road 631) has been cleared of debris, and is open for 9.5 miles heading toward the Sand Creek Gravel Pit on the San Juan National Forest about 19 miles northwest of Pagosa Springs off the Piedra Road.
However, travelers should beware that there are minimal places to safely turn a vehicle around, and the remainder of the Mosca Road is washed out and impassable. Signs are posted on site to warn of road conditions ahead.
