Wolfwood Refuge will return to Pagosa Springs from 1 to 6 p.m. June 27 at Wolfe Brewing Co., 2045 Eagle Drive.

The refuge originated in Pagosa Springs many years ago. Several ambassador wolves will be on hand for photos and petting. An educational talk will take place at 3 p.m. Beer glasses, along with Wolfwood merchandise will be for sale at this fundraiser.

The event is free to the public. A $10 donation is needed for the beer glass, which people will be able to fill with their choice of Wolfe Brewing beer. Dogs are not allowed.

Bayfield library to offer tech help

The Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, will offer “Tuesday Tech Time” at 10 a.m. every Tuesday in July.

These topics will be covered: Basic Computer Questions on July 7; Email Basics on July 14; Using Overdrive on July 21; and Ancestry.com (Library Edition) on July 28.

Library staff will be available to answer questions about different tech topics. The topics will change each week, but participants can schedule additional tech help if necessary. Advance registration is required for each Tuesday Tech Time event.

Technology class offered in Bayfield

The Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, will offer “Technology 101,” a look at what’s new in technology, at 3 p.m. July 1.

This class is geared toward seniors or adults who want to learn more about streaming media, wireless technology, smartphones, Internet competency, using digital photos and more. “Technology 101” will be taught by Jon Cordalis, The Computer Tutor. There is a $10 charge for the class due at registration.

5K run, walk planned for holiday

The city of Durango’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the Fourth of July Freedom 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. July 4 at Rotary Park.

All ages are welcome to run, walk, stroll or stride this 5K along the Animas River Trail. Participants must check-in at the Parks and Recreation special events tent from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.
