A Veterans Breakfast will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. the first and third Sunday of every month at the Elks Lodge, 901 East Second Ave.
The cost is $5 for veterans and $6 for non-veterans. People should use the Ninth Street entrance.

Judge Martha Minot to speak to Rotarians
The Durango High Noon Rotary Club will meet from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.
The cost for lunch is $15.
Judge Martha Minot will discuss District Court problem-solving programs.
Rodeo at fairgrounds to feature free events
Durango Fiesta Days and First National Bank will host the Snow Top Exceptional Rodeo from 10 to 11 a.m. July 21 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
This is a free day of Western events, which include a petting zoo, tractor talk and hay rides from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rodeo attendees will receive a Western T-shirt sponsored by First National Bank and lunch provided by Domino’s Pizza. Calvin Buffalo will play music.
Money will be raised to support student tuition to the Cadence Therapeutic Riding Center.

The Garden Club of Durango will meet Wednesday.
The group will tour the Passion Flower Bouquet Farm with owner Lisa Bourey.
Bourey will discuss soil preparation, plant and seed selection and design elements of her arrangements.
Members will carpool from Rotary Park at 12:30 p.m.

Agencies hunting for drunken drivers
The Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and local law-enforcement agencies will increase DUI enforcement, a part of The Heat Is On campaign, through Monday.
Heightened enforcement efforts will include sobriety checkpoints, increased patrols and more.
